Access requirements
Article 14 of the Royal Decree 1393/2007 of October 29 about the organization of official university teaching establishes that to access the official Degree it will be required to be in possession of a high school diploma or equivalent and have passed the test referred to Article 42 of the Organic Law 6/2001 of Universities modified by Law 4/2007 of April 12, without prejudice to the other access mechanisms provided for by current legislation.
The University of Córdoba, currently, establishes the student's access as set out in the Royal Decree 1742/2003, dated December 19, which establishes the basic regulations for access to university studies of an official nature, as well as in The Annual Resolution of the Commission of the Unique Andalusian District for Admission in Degree Titles of the Universities of Andalusia (Agreement of May 12, 2009, of the Commission of the Unique University District of Andalusia, which establishes the procedure for admission in the First Year and studies of a Degree of the University), through six access routes: High School Diploma, Formative Cycles for Professional Preparation, University Graduates, Over 25 years old, students of the European Union, and foreigners. In the future the student's access to the University will be made according to the R.D. 1892/2008 (BOE 11/24/2008), according to the implementation schedule indicated therein, and with the access routes indicated.
The Center will respect the regulations that are approved for access by means of the accreditation of work or professional experience indicated by article 36.4 of the Royal Decree 1892/2008, which regulates the conditions for access to the official university education of Degree and the admission procedures to Spanish public universities (BOE 24/11/2008).
For admissions to the university it is necessary to meet one of the following criteria:
- To have passed the Access to the University test (selectividad) for those who are in possesion of a high school diploma or equivalent
- To be in possesion of a title corresponding to a higher education training cycle that qualifies the student for Access to the University (selectividad), without the need to pass the entrance examination.
- Pass the Access to the University test for those older than 25 years
- Being in possesion of the documentation/credentials obtained by credits given for professional or work-related experience for those older than 40 years of age
- To pass the Access to the University test (selectividad) for those who are older than 45 years of age and who have no professional or work-related experience
- To be in possession of the documentation/credentials issued by the UNED for those students coming from educational systems of Member States of the European Union or of other States that have signed International Agreements to this respect, and that fulfill the requirements necessary in their respective country for Access to the University

In order to guarantee the adequate transition of students and to facilitate the continuity of their training process, there must be coordination between their Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO), their High School and Higher Education.
According to this, for admissions to the Degree Title of this School it is recommended that the student has completed the Science and Technology track for the High School diploma, according to Chapter IV of Títle I of the Law 2/2006 of May 3, for the education of studetns from any region of Spain.
And that in the third and fourth year of the “ESO” they have studied subjects related to the Science and Technology track, which have included the following subjects: Geology, Physics and Chemistry, and Technology, according to Chapter III of Title I of Law 2/2006 of May 3, education for students from any region of Spain.
