Welcome to the Department of Forestry Engineering of the University of Córdoba
The Department of Forestry Engineering has a wide experience in teaching Forestry subjects at the High Technical School of Agronomy and Forestry. The main goal of our Department is to coordinate high education teaching in the field of knowledge of Forestry. The Department is currently made up of 12 professors, one member of administrative staff and one laboratory assistant. The teaching staff of our Department is involved in the following Undergraduate and MS programs: Degree in Forestry Engineering, Degree in Agrifood Engineering and the Rural Environment, MS in Forestry Engineering, MS in Agricultural Engineering, MS in Science and Management of Forest Fires, MS in Agroecology, Ms in Global Change, Natural Resources and Sustainability, and MS in Geomatics, Remote sensing and Spatial Models applied to Forest Management. The Department participates also in three PhD programs: PhD program in Natural Resources and Sustainability, PhD program in Biosciences and Agronomy Sciences and PhD program in Agronomy, Food, Forestry and Rural Development Engineering.
Research activities of the members of the Department are developed in the frame of five Research Groups validated by the Andalusian Government, all of them collaborating with external institutions and researchers. Members of our Department lead three of these Research Groups.
